Q. Is CDR a relaxer?
A. No, It is a re-texturizer that gives you 4 different options soft wave, hair tamer, frizz control, and yes even straight hair.
Q. Can I color my hair before a CDR treatment?
A. Yes you can. But color may lighten up to one shade. We recommend you color 2 weeks after CDR treatment.
Q. How long after CDR treatment can I color or highlight my hair?
A. You should wait at least 2 weeks after you receive CDR treatment, to ensure color will lift or deposit effectively.
Q. Can I swim in the ocean or pool after CDR treatment?
A. Yes, after the first 3 days. However we recommend you get your hair wet first, rinse well after and apply a leave-in conditioner.
Q. Can I shampoo my hair after a CDR treatment?
A. There is a waiting time of 72 hours.
Q. Can I wear ponytail holders, barrettes, pins, clips after CDR treatment?
A. No, nothing tight or restricting during first 72 hours. We recommend loose scarf or silk headbands.
Q. Can CDR treatment be done on chemically treated hair?
A. Yes, CDR can be done on all chemically treated hair.
Q. Can CDR treatment be done over Japanese or thermal straightening?
A. Yes, you can do treatment over any type of straightening that has regrowth.
Q. Can CDR treatment be done on top of previously relaxed hair?
A. Yes,you can do the treatment over any previously relaxed hair.
Q. What type of shampoo and conditioner do I use after CDR treatment?
A. We recommend shampoo for chemically/color treated hair, a moisturizing conditioner with fragrance. Accompanied with a conditioning hair mask once a week.
Q. What should I do if hair gets wet during first 72 hours?
A. Blow dry hair, treatment is already locked in.
Q. How long does CDR treatment last?
A. Treatment lasts between 4 to 6 months, depending on how fast the hair grows.
Q. Do I do a touch up or entire head on next visit?
A. Touch up on re-growth only
